SJA SHINES AT THE CISCE REGIONAL SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP 2026

Five students bring home nine medals from St. Joseph’s College, Prayagraj (7-9 August 2026)

Saint John’s Academy delivered an outstanding performance at the CISCE Regional Swimming Championship 2026, hosted by St. Joseph’s College, Prayagraj, from 7 to 9 August 2026. Competing across boys’ and girls’ categories from Under-14 to Under-19, five of the school’s swimmers returned with a combined haul of one gold, four silver, and four bronze medals, a result that reflects the strength and depth of the academy’s swimming programme.

The standout performance of the meet came from Jai Nishad (Class 8A, U-14 Boys), who topped the podium in the 200m Breaststroke and added two silver medals in the 50m and 100m Freestyle, along with a bronze as part of the 4x100m Medley Relay team. In the girls’ category, Trisha Kesarwani (10B) and Shakshi (10D) both medalled in the breaststroke events, while Sparsh Yadav (12A) claimed bronze in both backstroke and freestyle. Abhinav Kumar (9C) contributed a silver medal in the boys’ medley relay.
