Saint John’s Academy wins the Overall Championship as Excelsia 2026 concludes

Prayagraj, September 10, 2026 — Excelsia 2026 – A Celebration of Ideas and Expression, the annual inter-school literary, cultural and technical festival hosted by Saint John’s Academy, Prayagraj, concluded today with the valedictory ceremony and the announcement of the Overall Championship. Six schools took part over the two days: Saint John’s Academy, Saint Joseph’s College, Saint John’s Co-Ed School, RRB Convent School, Srinivasa Ramanujan Public School and Bethany Convent Senior Secondary School.

Day 2 featured the Verbal Quadrathlon (Category B), the General Quiz, Computer Programming, the Hindi Debate, Poster Making, Collage Making and the Group Dance.

Saint Joseph’s College won the General Quiz and Computer Programming in Category A. Saint John’s Academy took the Verbal Quadrathlon (Category B), Poster Making, Collage Making and the Hindi Debate (Category B), and finished runner-up in the Group Dance. Saint John’s Co-Ed School won the Hindi Debate (Category A) and the Group Dance, while RRB Convent School won the General Quiz in Category B. In the Hindi Debate, the Best Speaker awards went to Yashasvi Devvanshi (Saint John’s Academy) and Rudra Mishra (Saint John’s Co-Ed School) in Category A, and to Bhumika Singh and Kriti Tiwari, both of Saint John’s Academy, in Category B.

With all 19 events complete, Saint John’s Academy won the Overall Championship with 149 points, ahead of Saint Joseph’s College (114) and Saint John’s Co-Ed School (112); RRB Convent School (61), Bethany Convent Senior Secondary School (32) and Srinivasa Ramanujan Public School (30) followed. Saint Joseph’s College topped Category A (Classes XI-XII) with 76 points to Saint John’s Academy’s 63, and Saint John’s Academy topped Category B (Classes IX-X) with 79 points to Saint John’s Co-Ed School’s 52.

Day 2’s events were judged by Mrs. Shreeta Agrahari (Logophilia); Mr. Sachin Saini, Assistant Professor, Department of Visual Arts, University of Allahabad; Ms. Sonika Singh, artist; Dr. Vandana Shukla, Home Science; Dr. Anand Ravi, Semstar Global School; Mr. Adarsh Mishra, Vedic International School; Mr. Kamlesh Pratap Singh, Coordinator, Sunbeam School & College; Mr. Mritunjay; Ms. Pratima Singh, Semstar Global School; and Mrs. Kriti Srivastava, Delhi Public School.

The chief guest gave away the trophies and certificates at the valedictory ceremony, and the Principal thanked the participating schools, judges and volunteers, and invited all six schools back for Excelsia 2027.
