Saint John’s Academy opens Excelsia 2026

Prayagraj, September 9, 2026 — Saint John’s Academy, Prayagraj, today opened Excelsia 2026 – A Celebration of Ideas and Expression, its annual inter-school literary, cultural and technical festival. Six schools are taking part in the two-day event: Saint John’s Academy, Saint Joseph’s College, Saint John’s Co-Ed School, RRB Public School, Srinivasa Ramanujan Public School and Bethany Convent Senior Secondary School. Students compete in two categories — A (Classes XI-XII) and B (Classes IX-X).

Day 1, held in the school’s Main Auditorium, featured the Mitchell Memorial Debate (English), the Verbal Quadrathlon, Poetry Writing, Group Discussion, Just a Minute, Half a Minute, the Robo-Race and Monologue.

Saint Joseph’s College won the Mitchell Memorial Debate in both categories, Just a Minute and Poetry Writing (Category A), and swept the Best Speaker awards. Saint John’s Academy took Group Discussion, Half a Minute and the Robo-Race; Saint John’s Co-Ed School won the Verbal Quadrathlon (A) and Poetry Writing (B). At the close of Day 1, Saint John’s Academy and Saint Joseph’s College led jointly with 66 points each, ahead of Saint John’s Co-Ed School on 58.

The day’s events were judged by Mr. Dhruv Raj Singh (Logophilia); Mrs. Cyntia D’Cruz, Principal, Semstar Global School, Naini; Ms. Srishti Srivastava; Adv. Phalguni Bhalla; Mrs. Shreeta Agrahari (Logophilia); and Mr. Peeyush Mishra, advocate.

Excelsia 2026 concludes on Thursday, September 10, with the General Quiz, Computer Programming, Hindi Debate, Poster Making, Collage Making, Group Dance and the remaining events, followed by the valedictory ceremony and the announcement of the Overall Championship.
