Logophilia Workshop: Decoding the Language of Science

Bringing a specialised academic approach to learning, Saint John’s Academy, Prayagraj, in collaboration with Logophilia, conducted a four day Vocabulary Workshop from 20th to 23rd April for the science disciplines of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The sessions were led by Dhruv Raj Sharma, Founder and CEO of Logophilia, who introduced students to the etymological foundations of scientific terminology rooted in Greek and Latin. Through a carefully structured study of roots, prefixes and suffixes, students gained a clearer understanding of how complex terms are formed and what they convey.

The workshop emphasised clarity over memorisation, enabling students to engage more meaningfully with concepts. They developed the ability to interpret unfamiliar terminology independently, strengthening both retention and confidence across disciplines.

Thoughtfully designed and effectively delivered, the workshop was widely appreciated by the students.
