Independence Day 2021

 

Saint John’s Academy celebrated the spirit of the freedom struggle on the occasion of the Nation’s 75th years of Independence. The event was marked by the presence of smartly turned out Cadets of the NCC Unit of the School amidst a gathering of staff and students. The occasion was further enthused by the presence of Mr. C. V. Innes and Mrs. D. Innes, Directors of Saint John’s Academy.

The National flag was hoisted by Mr. C. V. Innes followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. Patriotic speeches were given by some of the students of the School which added to the fervour and spirit of this historic event.

The Director, Mr. C. V. Innes, in an inspiring speech extolled the virtues of trust and honesty in Nation building. Tributes were paid to the martyrs and freedom fighters who through their sacrifices fulfilled a dream of an Independent India.

The programme ended with the Vote of Thanks by the Principal, Dr. Z. Rizvi.
