Honouring Our Workforce: May Day 2026 Celebrations

On Monday, May 4, 2026, the campus of Saint John’s Academy buzzed with energy as students gathered to celebrate May Day. The event was a vibrant tribute to the spirit of hard work and the invaluable contributions of our support staff.
The program was seamlessly conducted by Vaishnavi Singh Sengar (12-B), who served as the compere for the morning, while Aaradhy Shukla (12-B) ensured technical excellence from the sound booth.
Highlights of the Programme
The celebration featured a diverse array of performances that showcased the immense talent of our Grade 12 students:

  • A Poetic Start: The event opened with a moving poem by Smriti Kesarwani (12-A), setting a reflective and appreciative tone for the day.
  • Laughter and Drama: The audience was treated to a hilarious skit titled “Fits of Laughter.” The performance, featuring Astha Sonkar, Rudra Pandey, Ananya, Anamika Singh, Joanna V Emmanuel, Shatakshi Tripathi, Aradhya Singh, Anshita Kesarwani, and Sampurna Singh, brought smiles to every face.
  • Music and Dance:
    • An energetic dance routine was performed by Divyanshi Singh, Anshika Das, Shubhi Singh, Vedashi Yadav, Vidisha Sharma, and Sparsh Yadav.
    • The melodic voices of Joanna V. Emmanuel, Yash Tripathi, Rudra Pandey, Adarsh Singh, Shatakshi Tripathi, and Aditya Singh closed the cultural segment with a soulful song.
  • Interactive Fun: Between performances, the students kept the energy high with three engaging games organized by Areeba Fazal, Hifza Fatima, Umra Fatima, Suhana Anand, and Yashasvi Devvanshi.

The event was graced by the presence of our Director, Mr. C.V. Innes. To conclude the festivities, our Principal, Dr. Zareen Rizvi, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing deep gratitude to the staff whose dedication keeps the Academy running smoothly every day.
It was a day of joy, recognition, and community spirit—a true reflection of the values we cherish at Saint John’s Academy.
