Annual Prize Day 2026
Saint John’s Academy, Prayagraj, celebrated its Annual Prize Day for the academic session 2025–26 on 2nd May 2026 with immense grandeur in the school auditorium. The ceremony commenced on a high note of discipline and precision as the NCC cadets presented a prestigious Guard of Honour to the Chief Guest, Brigadier Upendra Singh Kandil, NCC Group Commander, Prayagraj. The event was further graced by the presence of the Honourable Directors, Mr. C. V. Innes and Mrs. D. Innes, whose vision continues to guide the Academy toward excellence. Following a warm welcome to the gathered students, parents, and guests, the School Choir delivered a soulful performance that filled the auditorium with vibrancy and lifted the celebratory spirit of the occasion.
The highlight of the day was the Prize Distribution ceremony, where the academic “creme de la creme” were recognized for their perseverance and hard work. Special accolades were reserved for the toppers of the ICSE and ISC Board Examinations. In the ICSE (Class X) category, Kavyansh Thakur led the honours with General Proficiency 1 and top marks in English, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Applications, and History, followed by Arush Singh, Garvit Srivastava, and Abdul Azim. For the ISC (Class XII), Asmita Verma topped the Science stream, while Anuj Agarwal secured the top spot in the Commerce and Humanities stream. Other distinguished awardees included Anmol Upadhyay, Divyansh Prajapati, Muskan Chaurasia, and Aditi Kushwaha, with subject-specific prizes earned by Vinayak Mishra, Kunwar Yuvraj Singh, and Akshat Maheshwari.
The excitement reached its peak with the announcement of the Inter-House championship results. For their outstanding performance in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities throughout the session, Dolphin (Blue) House was triumphantly awarded the prestigious Cedric Shield. In his inspiring keynote address, Brigadier Upendra Singh Kandil congratulated the recipients and shared a powerful message on the importance of discipline, character, and a positive outlook toward life’s challenges. He also commended the Academy for its commitment to providing a balanced and value-based education. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Principal, Dr. Z. Rizvi, followed by the National Anthem. The celebration left behind a renewed sense of motivation among the students to continue their pursuit of excellence in all spheres of life.
