Event Report: A Masterpiece Finale to a Year of Growth

Date: March 6, 2026 Location: Pre-Primary Wing, Saint John’s Academy

The corridors of Saint John’s Academy were filled with giggles, vibrant colors, and a palpable sense of accomplishment as our youngest learners in Pre-Nursery, Nursery, and Prep celebrated the conclusion of the 2025-26 academic session.

Our “Grand Finale” wasn’t just a goodbye to the school year; it was a celebration of the milestones these little ones have reached. We spent the day engaged in hands-on activities that showcased their newfound skills in fine motor coordination, literacy, and teamwork.

Developing Young Minds and Tiny Hands

The day featured several interactive stations designed to bridge the gap between play and foundational learning:

  • Stencil Magic: Our students demonstrated impressive focus as they navigated intricate shapes and patterns. This exercise wasn’t just about art; it’s a crucial step in developing the grip and control needed for writing.
  • Clay Word-Building: Moving beyond the page, students used colorful clay to mold three-letter words. Seeing a word take physical shape helped solidify their phonetic understanding and letter recognition in a tactile, memorable way.
  • The Power of Partnership: The highlight for many was the Collaborative Thumb-print Masterpiece. Every child added their unique mark to a massive shared canvas, symbolizing how every individual contribution creates a beautiful, unified community.

Reflecting on the 2025-26 Journey

As this session draws to a close, we look back at the incredible transformation of our students. From those first hesitant steps into the classroom in April to the confident, creative explorers they are today, the growth has been remarkable.
